以下是我對這套戲的評語：我覺得套戲是處理得不俗，安祖蓮娜的處理的確可以將整個故事處理得到，她想透過故事道出人無論在任何逆境中都要用堅毅信念來堅持，當然他的信仰還幫助他的。講回電影本身我覺得她今次的表演是在新導演中是不錯（當然和依士活這個這類題材的大師比還有一定差距，還是我佩服她取這類題材還要處理得不俗，所以我在這裡讚賞她）。我覺得她在捕捉角色情感方面是不俗（尤其是他在戰俘營的一段），她可以捕捉到主角那種堅毅的眼神，這種的捕捉直直反應出她的質素。至於攝影方面我覺得她的處理得不俗（其中我喜歡她以他在林蔭大道上練跑的一段和他最後高舉木棒堅毅的一段。） PS:我覺得安祖蓮娜除了在這套戲上顯示出導演潛質外，在戲外更可以顯示出堅毅勇氣， 她這份勇氣堅毅和這套戲中的主角一樣強，她可以勇敢和堅毅面對她的問題，這樣的確是新時代女性的特質和面對這種問題應有的態度。這樣的確是令我對她欣賞的地方。

This movie is not stingy with the amount of time, energy, resources and attention to details, it was also true-in-spirit to the original biography. The acting by Jack O'Connell and Miyavi were eye-catching, considering this is the first movie I watched that casted them, I felt both of them delivered gripping performances.However, I can't help but to compare the ocean scenes to "the life is PI", the war scenes to "fury".. For those scenes I think other movies did better.Yet in all, it was a movie worth watching for me, it depicted an extraordinary life and it tried to bring a message, may be useful-but-hard-to-relay for a generation that has a no real experience/understanding of what true hardship one can see in life. There is plenty to reflect upon, patriotism, family, brotherhood, faith, fate and forgiveness.
